Tanay Bothara is an architect based in Mumbai, India. He established his design practice in August 2022. Before starting his practice, he has worked with Bijoy Jain on projects across India and Europe. He rigorously engages with deep research and new material developments. Working with multiple communities, NGO’s, and individuals to shape purposeful built environments through honest materials and local building knowledge, studio’s process balances technical precision with the intrinsic beauty of hand-crafted imperfection. Studio believes that space is not just a physical attribute, it is a part of our identity. His practice ties a thin thread between design and photography.
